Bound for Arkdün

A Scroll of Song, created for an RPG that I played, set to a wistful gaelic celtic beat on dulcimer, with flute winding in.

"I left her standing there,
on the Grey Cliffs o'er the Bay
Made a promise to her that
I'd be coming back one day
Sailed out to sea seeking fortune
With a hope I'd make my way
My fortune I thought was elsewhere
So I did go a-stray---hey-hey"

(one beat pause)

"I've seen the whole wide Empire,
Travelled all the native lands
But nothing holds a candle
To the Libertas Bay beach sands
Oh, she ain't as quaint as Tirisfal,
But her heart is all her own.
Her light shines like a beacon
She's the Pearl of the Bay---hey-hey
Oh Arkdün, I'm coming on my way.

Chorus
Oh, I'm sailing, sailing bound for Arkdün
My girl, my love, I'll be seeing you very soon
Oh, I'm sailing, sailing bound for Arkdün
My girl, my love, I'll be seeing you very soon"

(flute and dulcimer duet, solos)

"Natura has her charms,
in an Elvish sort of way
Mystique beguiles your soul,
but she just can't make you stay.
Harsh Arakmat's desert sands,
will leave a man's heart hard and cold.
And Colonia's too bloody crowded
That a man could lose his Soooul"

(one beat pause)

"Daltina has the gem mines,
But the price you'll pay is high
The Military might is quite a sight
In ol' Zerdargia and Midpoint
But Garrison life don't go with a wife
And I'm too young to live alone
Port Alyxandrya is worth the trip
But you'll find yourself back on the ship
Sailing bound, bound for Arkdün

Chorus
Oh, I'm sailing, sailing bound for Arkdün
My girl, my love, I'll be seeing you very soon
Oh, I'm sailing, sailing bound for Arkdün
My girl, my love, I'll be seeing you very soon"

(flute and dulcimer duet, reprise

"I left her standing there,
on the Grey Cliffs o'er the Bay
Made a promise to her
That I'd be coming back one day
My fortune I thought was elsewhere
But now I'm coming back that way
'cause without my heart
I couldn't be made to stay--hey--hey

So now I'm sailing, yes, sailing for Arkdün
My girl, my love, I'll be seeing you very soon
So now I'm sailing, yes, sailing for Arkdün
My girl, my love, I'll be seeing you very soon

If good luck will come my way,
I'll be seeing her today--ay-ay
Seeing my love
The Pearl of the Bay
Oh, Arkdün, my Arkdün
Ohhhhh Arkdün, my Arkdün
Oh, Arkdün, my Arkdün
Ohhhhh Ohhhhhh Ark---dün"
